About the opportunity:
This Head of Strategic Projects & Partnerships sits within the Homelessness Solutions and Impact (HSI) team, reporting directly to the Executive Director - Homelessness Solutions & Impact. The role provides strategic and high-level advice to the HSI leadership team, whilst leading key strategic projects and partnership management. It will project manage teams to deliver responses to government grants as well as lead innovative and market-led proposals.

This role is aligned to the Leading Leaders proficiency level within the framework, reflecting the responsibility to drive strategic outcomes and influence cross-functional teams to achieve broader organisational goals.
This role is a full-time role, but we would be open to candidates seeking a part-time option at 0.8 FTE.
The role is max term until August 2026, based in Collingwood.What you'll be doing:
- Providing exemplar project management and leadership for key strategic organisational projects.
- Ensuring projects have a clear authorising and governance environment to enable clear, timely decision-making.
- Developing and leading project plans, keeping as close to on-time, on-budget, and in-scope as possible within an ever-changing external environment.
- Planning and/or facilitating strategic and operational planning workshops.
- Ensuring key learnings from partnership meetings, proposal processes, and other key initiatives are shared amongst leadership.
- Supporting the Executive Director - HSI to cultivate key existing and new service delivery partnerships.
- Properly and collaboratively onboarding new partner relationships in the context of key strategic projects, ensuring clear agreements, contracts, procurement and governance is established from the beginning.
- Developing, operationalising, and managing a partnership strategy for the HSI portfolio.
- Project managing the development of responses to government grant proposals within the HSI portfolio.
- Leading market-led proposals for new, innovative specialist homelessness services and related programs.
- Working closely with HSI Group Managers and the Government Policy & Advocacy Specialist to stay on top of potential government funding opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience navigating relationship and partnership management.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and lead major projects.
- Ability to manage with influence and navigate varying responsibilities.
- Collaborative approach with the capability to work seamlessly with various teams and leaders.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, policy or project management, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Proven success in a project or business management role, especially with executive-level advising, intra and interdepartmental collaboration, and experience with leading teams to successful completion of proposals.
- Understanding of, or a demonstrated commitment to upholding, Child Safe Standards in the workplace.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
